Elgato Marketplace edition
VibeDeck from the Elgato Marketplace.
Live session keys for Claude Code, Codex and the other coding agents you run, on your Stream Deck. See which session is working, waiting for you or done, tap to jump back to it, approve requests from the deck, and dictate into the session you point at. This page covers installing and supporting the Marketplace edition.
Requirements
- Stream Deck software 7.1 or newer, and a compatible Stream Deck device.
- macOS 13 or newer on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer), or Windows 10 or newer.
- The coding agents' own command-line tools and accounts. VibeDeck does not replace them.
- Exact terminal focus on Windows needs Windows Terminal x64. Check the compatibility guide and terminal guide for your agent and terminal.
Installing and updates
- Install it from the Marketplace listing with the Stream Deck app. Updates also arrive through the Marketplace.
- There is no license key and nothing to activate inside VibeDeck. Your purchase lives in your Elgato account.
- After installing, drag the Setup action onto a key. It opens a guided page that previews every file it will change before connecting your agents. Codex users can follow the Codex guide.
How it differs from the direct edition
VibeDeck is also sold as a direct edition by Inventive Hill, with a license key, outside the Marketplace. Both editions have the same features: the same actions, agents, dictation, safety alerts and Setup guide. If you bought on the Marketplace you already have everything; nothing here asks you to buy again.
- The Marketplace edition has no license key, no activation and no license or update cards in Setup. Installs are tied to your Elgato account under Elgato's Marketplace terms.
- Purchases do not carry over: a direct license key does not unlock the Marketplace edition, and a Marketplace purchase does not include a direct license key. Elgato manages Marketplace orders; Inventive Hill provides VibeDeck technical support.
- It never checks for updates on its own. Updates come through the Marketplace.
- It has its own plugin identity, so the two editions are separate installs. Your hooks, agent connections and settings are shared between them (see below).
Switching between editions
Use one edition per computer. If both are installed, the direct edition runs and the Marketplace edition shows a key message asking you to remove the direct one. To switch:
In Stream Deck, remove the other edition from the plugin list; quit and restart Stream Deck; install the new edition. Hooks, connection and settings carry over.
Privacy summary
- No account, analytics, telemetry or advertising SDK. Session data stays on your computer, and settings are stored locally by Stream Deck.
- The Marketplace edition contains no license checks and no update checks of its own.
- Dictation is opt-in and off by default. Local dictation never uploads audio. The optional local speech engine and model (about 156–158 MB) download on request from components.getvibedeck.com; only network metadata is visible to that server.
- If you choose API dictation, audio goes only to the endpoint you configured with your own key. Inventive Hill never receives it.
- VibeDeck talks to your agents through their documented hooks and standard OS automation, over a loopback-only local service.

Support
Email [email protected] with the agent, operating system, terminal and the exact error. Never send API keys or tokens. Self-help guides are on the support page.
Refunds follow Elgato's Marketplace Refund Policy. Elgato asks you to contact us first at the address above.
