Install and activate VibeDeck

macOS

1. Download the plugin

   Get vibedeck-mac.streamDeckPlugin from the download link in your license email.

2. Double-click to install

   Stream Deck installs it automatically. VibeDeck is notarized, so Gatekeeper normally won't prompt. If it does, right-click the file and choose Open, then confirm.

Windows

1. Download the plugin

   Get vibedeck-win.streamDeckPlugin from the download link in your license email.

2. Double-click to install

   Stream Deck installs it automatically. SmartScreen may flag it as unrecognized — click More info, then Run anyway.

Activate and connect your agents

1. Drag the Setup key

   Drag VibeDeck's Setup action onto any free key. Its setup page opens in your browser.

2. Paste your key and Activate

   Paste your license key on the setup page and press Activate. Every VibeDeck key unlocks live — no restart needed.

3. Select and preview agents

   Choose only the detected agents you use, then preview every configuration file VibeDeck will extend. Nothing is selected by default. Existing hook arrays are preserved, conflicts are skipped, and a backup is created before changes.

4. Install the hooks

   Confirm the preview. VibeDeck merges its entries, validates the result, and rolls back if validation fails. Some integrations may report a limited or needs-review state instead of a clean install; review that message before continuing.

5. Restart and verify

   Restart each affected agent session and send one prompt. A live session card on your deck confirms the connection. If a key stays idle, check the Setup page for updates, limited states, or a needs-review message.

6. Choose a session view

   DeepSeek Harness does not have a dedicated Session key. Add the All Sessions or Swarm action to see it alongside your other agents.

Switching machines? Deactivate this one from the setup page first. If the old machine is gone, use verified activation support.

Status-only integrations

These integrations report status without deck control. Gemini CLI, Kilo, and Qwen Code each have their own Session key and also appear on All Sessions and Swarm, with no typing, dictation, interruption, deck approval, model, or effort control. DeepSeek Harness has no dedicated Session key. Answer questions and approvals in the agent.

• DeepSeek Harness: macOS with dsh web or headless. Approvals and questions stay in the dsh web UI. The optional navigation companion is not installed by normal Setup.
• Gemini CLI: native hooks. Cancellations and errors are not fully observable, and macOS and Windows verification is still pending.
• Kilo: CLI or VS Code plugin. Activation in the real runtime is pending, and there is no reliable settled-success done state.
• Qwen Code: supported hook mode. Main sessions only; subagents are excluded.

Updates after installation

VibeDeck checks its signed update service for newer releases. Update manifests and payloads are signature- and hash-verified before installation.
